Otočke Taktike 2022.

Logorun – Island Tactics is an interdisciplinary educational project focused on the revitalization of demilitarized and underutilized spaces through participatory planning methods. Established by the architectural studio Prostorne taktike d.o.o. in collaboration with the Municipality of Tribunj, the program aims to empower local communities to actively shape and sustainably manage their public spaces.

The second phase of the project, held from October 28 to 30, 2022, focused on the practical application of traditional skills through a dry stone walling workshop. Serving as a direct follow-up to the 2021 interdisciplinary seminar, this activity aimed to physically transform the island’s landscape according to the visions defined during the previous planning phase. Under the expert guidance of mentors from the “4 grada Dragodid” association, participants were introduced to the “dry” masonry technique—a construction method without binders that has been protected as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2018.

After analyzing existing structures on Logorun Island, the group restored and constructed two new walls within the pine forest. These interventions were designed to create two natural terraces, intended for future public use as proposed in the project’s strategic goals. This hands-on approach turned theoretical concepts into tangible landscape features, bridging the gap between planning and realization. By integrating heritage preservation with modern spatial needs, the workshop further solidified the project’s mission: fostering a deep connection between the local community and their environment through sustainable, community-driven development.
